Commission an Artwork
A Personal Work of Art, Created for You
An original painting can capture a meaningful place, preserve a special memory or bring a distinctive atmosphere to your home.
I create bespoke acrylic paintings inspired by your ideas, personal references and preferred colour palette. Whether you have a particular landscape in mind, a photograph you would love to reinterpret, or a more abstract vision, each commission begins with a conversation and develops into a unique work of art.
Together, we will explore the subject, dimensions and artistic direction to create a painting that feels personal to you and considered for the space in which it will live.
You may come with a clear vision, or simply an idea waiting to take shape. I will guide you through the process from the first discussion to the finished artwork.
The Commission Process
-
Share Your Idea:
Tell me about the painting you have in mind. You might have a meaningful photograph, a favourite landscape, a particular colour palette or an idea for an abstract composition. If you are commissioning a painting for a specific room, photographs of the space can also be helpful.
-
Develop the Concept:
We will discuss the subject, dimensions, colours and overall mood of the painting. If you prefer, I can prepare digital mock-ups to help you visualise the proposed artwork before painting begins.
Once the concept and quotation are agreed, your commission can be scheduled.
-
Watch Your Painting Take Shape
Your painting is created individually, with attention to composition, texture, colour and detail. I will keep you updated with progress photographs throughout the process.
-
Receive Your Original Artwork
Once your painting is complete, the remaining balance is settled before delivery or collection. Your finished artwork will be prepared for its journey to your home or chosen destination.
Materials & Finish
I primarily work with high-quality acrylic paints on stretched cotton or linen canvas, with a depth of approximately 2–4 cm.
The canvas edges are painted, and hanging fixings are included, allowing the finished painting to be displayed without a frame.
Framing is not included in the commission service. If you would like to frame your painting, I can recommend a professional framing technician.

Deposit & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. This secures your place in my commission schedule and covers initial preparation and materials.
Once the deposit has been received, I will begin creating your painting and keep you informed of its progress.
The remaining balance is payable before delivery or collection. Payment is made by bank transfer against an invoice.
Timescale
The time required depends on the dimensions, complexity and artistic requirements of each commission. Most large paintings are completed within approximately two months, including varnish-drying time.
If you have a particular date or deadline in mind, please mention it in your initial enquiry. I will let you know whether it can be accommodated before confirming your commission.
Delivery & Collection

Collection in Athens: You are welcome to collect your painting from my studio at Andie Art Gallery by arrangement.
International delivery: Shipping abroad can be arranged, with the cost discussed and confirmed before the commission begins.
A Commission with a Personal Story
Every commission is an opportunity to create something meaningful — a painting connected to a place, a memory, a feeling or a personal vision.
Here is what one of my clients shared about commissioning a painting for their wedding celebration:
"We were looking for a unique painting for our wedding ceremony—something our guests could sign and be part of. When we discovered Antigone’s artwork, we immediately knew it was exactly what we had in mind.
After reaching out to discuss a custom commission, we quickly agreed on a concept. Throughout the process, Antigone kept us updated with photos, which made the experience even more special. When we finally saw the finished piece, we were absolutely blown away.
Our friends and family continue to admire and comment on the painting—it’s become a treasured keepsake from our day. Thank you, Antigone"

Let's Create Something Personal
If you have an idea for an original painting, I would love to hear about it.
To get started, tell me a little about your vision, the approximate dimensions you have in mind and any references or colours that inspire you. If you are commissioning a painting for a particular space, you are welcome to share a photograph of the room.
You do not need to have every detail decided. We can discuss the possibilities together and establish an approach that suits your idea.
